It’s a long time since I have been down that way. It was a nice sunny day, so after an expensive visit to the dentist I went on the bus out to Salgados to have a look around. As expected, the lagoon was very full after the recent rain. The birds seemed happy. For those who like walking and cycling around there, a new boardwalk is under construction that will link the existing boardwalks betweeen the hotels and beach area around Salgados all the way to Armação de Pêra, through the dunes behind Praia Grande. It isn’t finished yet, the bridge over the river bed at the Armação de Pêra end is not yet complete. Once open, it will make for a very nice walk or cycle ride.
