Rainy days in the Médoc

It’s not very summery here at all. Grey skies, rain and cool temperatures only 23C or so.

Some scenes from Monday.

At Le Verdon, famililies stoically sitting on a windswept beach

Children though having fun looking for creatures among the rocks.

Some young people trying to control their sailing things in the high wind.

Around the corner near Soulac the big waves brought the surfers out in numbers.

This photo clearly shows the continuing effect of coastal erosion. This was a fairly modern parking area. Efforts are being made to stem the tides, literally, but the sea is winning in many areas.
