These photos were all taken on the morning on Sunday 4th May. Pretty self-explantory I think in terms of the progress or lack thereof in certain areas.
The largest area of disruption, which looks set to continue for a good while, is the Rua Amirante Gao Countinho. This is the road that runs down from the roundabout above the pier to Inatel. It is completely closed and dug up as you can see.
Also, I noticed that in some parts of the beach there is still up top 6 feet/2 metres of sand missing. Those rocks are not normally exposed quite so much.
I have included a few pictures of the ‘finished’ bits in answer to several queries raised in various forums. And a couple just because I think they look nice!
Later this week I shall be posting an album of photos taken out and about in the Algarve. A friend came to visit last week and as he hires a car I was able to visit some places I don’t normally find it easy to get to.
